Riviera Diamante Acapulco, January 2023.- The ""Acapulco Microbiot Fit Marathon"" took place on Saturday, January 28 in the areas of Arena GNP Seguros, Princess and Palacio Mundo Imperial, as well as Barra Vieja in the state of Guerrero. The competitions were of 5K, 10K, 21K and 42K.
This was the first edition of the Acapulco Marathon 2023 and was organized jointly by the Government of the State of Guerrero and Grupo Mundo Imperial in order to promote sports and demonstrate that the destination is more than ready to receive this type of activities as it has first class venues for any type of competition.
For this first event, there was a quota of 4 thousand participants among the 4 distances and they were carried out with the starting route from the GNP Seguros Arena, passing by the Princess and Palacio Mundo Imperial resorts, until arriving at Barra Vieja.
On Saturday, January 28, the 5K, 10K, 21K and 42K competitions were held at 7:00 am. Participants were divided into the following categories: Youth: 16 to 19 years old, Free: 20 to 39 years old, Master: 40 to 49 years old, Veteran: 50 to 59 years old and Veteran Plus: 60 years old and over.
For the race, it is recommended to arrive 45 to 60 minutes in advance, comply with all the indications for a better experience, have a light breakfast and, above all, wear light clothing such as tennis shoes, T-shirt, shorts or lycra.
Registrations opened early and closed on Wednesday, January 25, or earlier if the permitted quota was filled. Nothing like having started the year with the purpose of doing sports in one of the most beautiful destinations in Mexico.

- The tournament will feature four players in the Top 10: Alexander Zverev (No. 6), Holger Rune (No. 7), Taylor Fritz (No.9) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.10).
- At the Acapulco ATP 500, 11 top-20 ranked players will be playing.
- Australian Alex de Miñaur, champion in 2023, will seek to defend his title.
